Uncaged The Singular Menace 1 John Sandford Michele Cook Books

Uncaged by John Sandford & Michelle Cook is the most interesting book I ever read. In the beginning it hooked me and dragged me into the book so unexpectedly that I didn't even have time to think. This book kidnapped me and held me hostage in the book world until my mom came into the room and got me out.

This book got me to the edge of my seat. This book reminded me of an action movie. See, that’s the great thing about books, you get to picture all the settings and characters however you want.I really want someone to make a movie based on this book. That’s how much I love it.

Uncaged is about a red-headed girl named Shay.Shay is the main character in the book.Even though she is only 16,she is very mature and very caring. Shay is looking for her “Raider” brother Odin. She meets a guy named Twist (my favorite character) who is the protagonist in the book because he is very nice to shay and lets her stay at his hotel. She makes friends with everybody at the hotel like Cruz,Cade, and her roommate Emily and they agree to help Shay find her brother. This group goes on many adventures and does many good cause crimes like climbing on the Hollywood sign to find her brother. They release information on a website about these torturing people named Singular, who kidnapped her brother. They threaten Singular by releasing more information about them until they give her Odin back.

Uncaged is an AWESOME book. Also another great thing about it is that it is a series, so it doesn’t end at there. I can’t wait to finish Outrage, and start Rampage. Again Uncaged is such a good book.I TOTALLY recommend reading this book, I promise it won’t let you down.

Uncaged The Singular Menace 1 John Sandford Michele Cook Books Reviews

If you think you are buying a John Sanford book you will be disappointed. This is not a bad book if you can lower your expectations and pretend that you are reading some new author. I could not do that. I had purchased a used copy and was surprised at the shape the book was in. After reading half of it I figure the original owner had thrown it across the room a couple of times, angered that he had spent $15 to $20 on a book that was no where close to an average Sanford novel.

I have read a lot of young adult books that were very well written; this is not one of them. Mr. Sanford would have done Ms. Cook and his reputation a favor if he had done the final rewrite.
John Sandford is a professional storyteller who seldom disappoints and this book is no exception. Geared to young adults it probably hits all
the right notes for that group. Mr. Sandford's books always have a bit of his personal issues included and this one is no exception. In fact, it
hits a number of issues - illegal immigration, climate, medical research, politics, etc - and it hits them hard-
Heroes Women, Hispanics, Blacks, Street kids, Hackers, the disabled. Bad guys Ex-military, corporations, government, law enforcement, conservative politicians, science, medical researchers, etc - You get the picture. Depending on your personal viewpoints this might detract from the storyline which SPOILER ALERT does not end, it continues in the next book in the series. Still a good read.
nNever read a book by a rich author that gets so rich and lazy they have to write by committee. If there are two names on the author line, save your money. This isn't even a complete book. The author was so damn lazy he not only had to get in a fill in the other 90% of the book robot, but he published half a book to increase profits. Major ripoff.
Many reviewers did not find that a 30ish artist and a bunch of street wise teenagers could succeed against a powerful company that has hired many ex-military special forces security people plus some high powered government officials. Yea, I have to agree with that, but I ignored that part and just read one group against the powerful company. Well, even that falls short considering that 90% of Americans want GMO foods labeled but the government still supports the companies that produce GMO foods. Consider that Undated and the two follow on book are "novels" written for entertainment. These books were indeed entertaining for me. I highly recommend them.
I have read every John Sandford book and eagerly wait for the next Davenport or Flowers masterpiece. Unfortunately this one failed to live up to the low standard that the authors set for it. Sandford is at his best in Minnesota and my Western Wisconsin, where, for some reason, most of his most evil criminals come from. Stay at home!
I'm a huge fan of John Sandford and his prey series and also his Virgil Flowers books. UNCAGED is NOT one of those and the fact that Michelle Cook is listed as one of the authors tells you a lot about this book. I found it okay reading, but it is not a Sandford book by any means when compared to his trademark stories. I did not like it enough to buy the sequel. The writing is good, the flow of the story is good, but the subject matter, the characters, etc. were just not my thing. Looking forward to my next Virgil Flowers, or Lucas Davenport story!
NO! Sorry, because I usually love John Sandford's novels. I read all his work and along with Michael Connelly they are the two most prolific writers of this genre. That said, this book is a big fat flop. The novel seems aimed at a "younger" crowd, and if I didn't know better, I'd think it was a spinoff of "The Hunger Games" or those stupid "vampire" teeny pieces of junk.

This novel pits a huge company with vast resources (money and para-military), against determined homeless teens and animal rights activists.
Without giving away the plot (don't worry , there isn't much to give away!), the company does horrific experiments on all sorts of animals, supposedly for medical research, but what are they really DOING!!! That's about it. Don't worry, our intrepid teens will win the day. OH WAIT, this novel is just the FIRST one of a series!! That's right, nothing gets resolved so they can sell another of these clunkers--NOT TO ME!!

I couldn't wait to get to the end of this mess, and I won't read another collaboration with these two ever again. It's your choice, but if you're expecting primo Sandford, you'll be dissappointed as I was.
