Berger and Mitry join forces to find out, with Berger using inspiration while Mitry uses more conventional methods. The ending of The Cold Blue Blood will come as a great surprise. What won't come as a surprise is the budding but unlikely romance between the jocular Jewish Berger and the business-like African-American Mitry. Good story, excellent local references, perfect shoreline ambiance, great movie references and nice set up for romantic relationship to be continued. I'd recommend reading this one before the other Berger and Mitry mysteries.
Fell in love with this book, and with the delightful couple Berger and Mitry. Guess I've now read everything on them that's been written, and wish there were many, many more. Love an intelligent puzzle along with a touching love story!
Very entertaining, fun read. Loved characters. Will read more by this author.
David Handler writes a great mystery story - lots of twists and turns, with minimal violence and lots of suspense. Great fascinating read!

I was reading it for bookclub and I reading enjoyed it.
The first book in this series had me hooked and this one was a great follow-up. Second efforts often fall short of the bar set in the first one. This, as in the first, keeps moving and has you guessing "who done it". The main characters are extremely likable and the story lines interesting.
